Question:  What are donations used for on this site?

In the past, donations have been used to offset the cost of certain coding or support  For example, donations contributed about half of the price of the Arcade component (it's a commercial license), for the chat application, and for application support needs -- including bug fixes. 

In short, here is a brief list, in order of priority:

• Components (such as a chatbox, the arcade, and the site templates)
• Development work, including outsourcing
• Commercially licensed games, as well as other licensing fees
• Server/bandwidth costs

Question: What is NOT considered a donation?
To better answer this, a donation will be any monetary denomination or gift that is provided either by the "Donation" tab on the bottom of every page or the Amazon Wish List, found on this page.  To further clarify, the following are NOT considered donations:

• Ad revenue (Adsense, etc)
• Referral fees (such as signups through the various affiliate programs)

Question: Can I donate for a specific purpose?  For example, I want to see Application X here.
Before donating for a specific purpose, please contact me.  We are developing a mission statement and want to ensure that we can use any donations appropriately.  If you are donating on behalf of any of the applications I've written (aka: not this site), then the donations will be applied specifically to development of that application.  We can discuss this in further detail on a case-by-case basis.

Question: Is your link safe?  I noticed that your site is not encrypted.
Good eye!  Correct, Sageth.com is not encrypted, nor do we have an SSL certificate.  However, when you click the link, you are redirected to PayPal.com before you enter any personal information.  PayPal's site is encrypted with 128-bit SSL encryption.  Your information is completely safe and secure.  Please read PayPal's terms of service before donating.

Question: I think I want to donate, but I don't want to donate cash
Understandable .  For those that would like to donate but do not want to send money, I have included my Amazon.com wish list.

Go to http://www.sageth.com and scroll down.  You'll see a "Donations" button.  Click that.  Then click on the "Donate" button, fill out the form and submit.  It's that simple.
